FAI compensates Rovers for Duff injury
The Football Association of Ireland has confirmed that Blackburn will be “adequately compensated” for the payment of Damien Duff’s wages after the winger was injured on international duty.
Duff, 24, is expected to be out of action for three weeks with a thigh problem which could mean a near-€160,000 pay-out by the FAI through their players’ insurance scheme.
