Smicer sidelined for Reds

Liverpool will be without Vladimir Smicer for at least three weeks after he broke a toe playing for the Czech Republic last week.

But goalkeeper Jerzy Dudek, who had to pull out of Poland’s win away to San Marino with a groin problem, is likely to have recovered to face Birmingham.
