Duff to sign contract tomorrow
Blackburn's flying Irish winger Damien Duff will sign a new long-term contract at Ewood Park before or after tomorrow night’s clash with Liverpool.
Rovers boss Graeme Souness revealed today that he expects the deal to be completed within the next 24 hours.
Duff still has two years to run on his current deal but Blackburn have moved to secure his future in the wake of impressive displays for the Republic of Ireland in the World Cup.
Souness said: “We have an agreement with Damien. He will be signing a new contract either before the game or immediately after it.”
Meanwhile defender Hakan Unsal is returning to his former club Galatasaray after a short spell with Blackburn.
It is understood that Blackburn have recovered the fee they paid for the World Cup player.
