Birmingham welcome back top-flight football

Birmingham welcomed back top-flight football to St Andrews for the first time in 16 years with a firework display and a cascade of balloons.

But it was a damp start for the Blues as the players ran out to leaden skies and a rain shower, although there was a full house to greet manager Steve Bruce’s side.
