Baresi confirms Fulham resignation

Franco Baresi has resigned from his position at Fulham.

The former AC Milan and Italy star was officially appointed as director of football by chairman Mohamed Al Fayed on June 1, but his arrival had an unsettling influence on the players, with talk of a power struggle between the Italian and manager Jean Tigana.
