Reports suggest Ronaldo deal may collapse

An offer by Real Madrid to swap two players for Ronaldo has been rejected by Inter Milan.

The leading sports daily Marca said that Real offered Spain international striker Fernando Morientes and Brazil's Flavio Conceicao.

But the paper reported that the Italian club would have preferred Argentina's Santiago Solari plus €70m.

Another sports daily, As, quotes Ronaldo saying the switch appeared uncertain.

The Brazilian said: "I'm not sure. The situation is complicated. We will have to see."

But Ronaldo's agent Alexandre Martins is more confident saying: "We have to be patient, but we know that there are many ways that the transfer can be concluded.

"In the end, Ronaldo will sign for Real Madrid."
