The Department of Foreign Affairs has advised Irish football fans travelling to Russia for the European Championships qualifier next month to carry visas and passports at all times.

The Department of Foreign Affairs has advised Irish football fans travelling to Russia for the European Championships qualifier next month to carry visas and passports at all times.

The department said crime rates are low in Moscow, but visas are essential for entry and exit and local police can arrest anybody unable to produce them.
