McCarthy has no regrets over Keane

Republic of Ireland boss Mick McCarthy insisted he has “no regrets” over his handling of the Roy Keane affair – then slammed the critics still judging him over his former skipper’s World Cup walk-out.

Less than 48 hours before Ireland enter a new era minus Keane and old stalwarts Niall Quinn and Steve Staunton, McCarthy rounded on the unnamed whisperers who were condemning the Yorkshireman.
