Liverpool boss Gerard Houllier turned the air blue when he learned Newcastle has beaten him to Hugo Viana’s signature.

United counterpart Bobby Robson revealed the Frenchman was devastated to miss out on the 19-year-old Portugal international, who was also being chased by Spanish outfit Celta Vigo.
