Silva transfer to Arsenal hits glitch
World Cup winner Gilberto Silva's transfer to Arsenal is apparently in jeopardy because his club are slow in paying their debts, according to reports in Brazil.
Silva's Brazilian club Atletico Mineiro agreed last week to sell their star midfielder to the Gunners for around £4.5m (€7.17m).
But now, according to reports in Brazil, Mineiro have been ordered by a judge in Belo Horizonte to pay money owed to former players Valdir and Fabio Augusto before the move can take place.
The newspaper says that Atletico Mineiro's president Alexandre Kalil planned to use the money from Silva's transfer to pay old debts and delayed salaries.
