Chelsea release Jokanovic

Chelsea have released Slavisa Jokanovic, after he came to the end of his contract.

The 33-year-old signed for £1.7million in 2000 from Deportivo La Coruna and played 53 times for Chelsea.

A Chelsea spokesman told the club's website: ''He wasn't the most popular player with the fans, but his input was always appreciated by the staff and players.''
