Bonhof named new Scottish U-21 boss
Rainer Bonhof has confirmed he is to be Scotland's new under-21 coach.
The former Germany World Cup winner is to take over as Alex Smith's full-time replacement next month.
Bonhof held talks at Hampden Park with Scottish Football Association chief executive David Taylor last month.
He told the Scottish Daily Express: "I have been in contact with David Taylor and everything is okay.
"We have discussed all the details, there is a two-year deal in place and it is now just a case of signing the paperwork."
His first fixture will be an August friendly against Denmark, with the European Championship qualification trail beginning the following month.
Bonhof wants to bring 40 of the best youngsters together for a training camp next month.
