Agent: Cygan close to Arsenal deal

Arsenal are about to complete the signing of Lille defender Pascal Cygan, according to the player's agent.

The 28-year-old first visited the Gunners several weeks ago following impressive displays in the Champions League.

Frederic Dobraje, Cygan's agent, told the Guardian: "We were at Arsenal and spoke with the club to discuss terms of the contract.

"Discussions are still going on but we should finalise the deal on Tuesday afternoon."
