Fulham go Dutch in transfer chase
Fulham officials are hoping Vitesse Arnhem and Holland midfielder Victor Sikora will join them in a £3m (€4.7m) deal.
The 24-year-old is believed to be desperate to play in the Premiership, although Ajax also want to sign him.
Fulham's approach to Vitesse only took place 48 hours ago, but the move has progressed quickly and negotiations took place on Saturday and Sunday.
Sikora has won six international caps, the last in Holland's 2-0 victory against the USA on May 16.
Fulham's two confirmed summer signings to date are an Argentinian duo, striker Facundo Sava and goalkeeper Martin Herrera.
Assistant boss Christian Damiano confirmed that the club still plan to recruit another three players before the start of the Premiership season on August 17.
Fulham drew 0-0 against FC Haka in the Intertoto Cup second round, first leg on Saturday.
