Kahn wins Golden Ball award
Oliver Kahn has been named winner of the Golden Ball award for his World Cup displays, despite his howler against Brazil.
Germany's goalkeeper gained a total of 147 media votes to beat Ronaldo, who had 126.
South Korea captain Hong Myung-bo finished third with 108 votes.
The award, sponsored by German sportswear manufacturer Adidas, is meant to recognise the outstanding individual player during the World Cup tournament.
Ballots were cast by journalists who were present at the third-place play-off between South Korea and Turkey, and the final between Germany and Brazil.
Ronaldo scored both Brazil's goals in their 2-0 win against Germany.
