United duo to leave Old Trafford

Manchester United duo Ronnie Wallwork and Raimond van der Gouw are finally set for moves to West Brom and Coventry respectively.

The midfielder and goalkeeper are set to leave Alex Ferguson’s side when their contracts expire this month, and both look like moving to the West Midlands.

Wallwork has found it increasingly difficult to break into the first team at Old Trafford and has attracted interest from West Brom, Birmingham and Portsmouth, but it appears he is now ready to move to The Hawthorns.

"Albion have sold the club to Ronnie and he is keen to play for them," revealed Wallwork’s agent Neil Sillett.

"West Brom’s interest is extremely advanced and we are happy with what they have to offer.

"There has been interest from Birmingham. But we felt duty bound to give Gary (Megson) the chance to sign Ronnie.

"It is possible he could earn more money elsewhere, but he wants to play for Albion."

Meanwhile, Dutchman van der Gouw may be playing at Highfield Road next season, according to Coventry chairman Mike McGinnity.

He told United website, www.manutd.com: "Raimond has been made an offer and he has gone away to think about it.

"The talks went well and we are hopeful that he will sign."
