Sven admits Brazil are favourites

Sven-Goran Eriksson has admitted Brazil are World Cup favourites as the countries prepare to meet in Friday's quarter-final.

"They are the favourites to win the World Cup, especially when you consider how they have played. They play good attacking football and it is always excellent to see. Brazil is samba football. It is always beautiful to watch."

Yet despite such praise he has not completely dismissed his side’s chances on Friday.

"I can’t see any reason why we shouldn’t try to reach the semi-finals. It should be very nice, but we never talk about winning the World Cup, only our next match."
