Santa Cruz not bothered by Kahn 'threat'

Paraguay striker Roque Santa Cruz is willing to risk being banned from the Bayern Munich dressing room - by scoring against Germany.

Germany goalkeeper, and Bayern team-mate, Oliver Kahn has joked that the rest of the players will not let Santa Cruz back into the changing room if he scores.

Santa Cruz says it will not put him off trying to find the back of the net in their second-round clash.

"I hope it's a joke because I will do my best to score a goal," he said.

"It's going to be interesting playing against the players I know so well.

"I hope I can score against Oliver and that would be a great moment for me.

"I suppose it is an advantage that I know him, but then it's also an advantage for him that he knows what I'm like too.

"I'm really looking forward to the game and I want to show the players, the press and the whole country why I'm playing in Germany."

Santa Cruz is also full of respect for his opposite number Miroslav Klose, who has scored five goals already in the tournament.

"I know he's very dangerous for any defence and he can change the game in an instant," he said.

"We must take care of him, but at the same time we mustn't be scared of him.

"We just must make sure he can't play his normal football."
