Klose misses second training session with injured knee
German striker Miroslav Klose has missed his second straight day of training with a bruised knee.
The 23-year-old has already electrified the World Cup with a hat-trick in Germany's 8-0 opening rout of Saudi Arabia. He also scored Germany's only goal in the 1-1 draw against Ireland.
He was substituted in the Ireland game and had his right knee bandaged as soon as he went off the pitch.
"He has a bruise on his knee and it's hindering him a little bit," assistant coach Michael Skibbe said.
Skibbe said Klose would not train in the afternoon but team officials hoped he would be back in action on Saturday.
Defender Christoph Metzelder, who slightly twisted his right ankle against Ireland, also didn't train with the team.
"I don't know yet how it's going to look like in the next few days," Metzelder said.
He is also wearing a brace to protect damaged ligaments in his left thumb.
