Diao sees red for Senegal

Salif Diao has been sent off for Senegal in their Group A clash against Denmark in Daegu.

The villain-turned-hero-turned-villain was sent off for a second yellow card offence after a foul on Rene Henriksen.

Diao equalised for Senegal in the 52nd minute to make amends for giving away Denmark's first-half penalty, converted by Jon Dahl Tomasson.

He was cautioned in the 62nd minute for a foul.

Tomasson scored from the spot on 16 minutes after a push in the area by Diao.

Whoever wins today's game is almost assured of qualification to the next round - however, Diao will now miss the next group match.
