Frings signs for Dortmund

Torsten Frings has signed for Borussia Dortmund from Werder Bremen.

The clubs have agreed an €8m fee for the midfielder, who is on World Cup duty with Germany.

Frings has signed for Dortmund until 2006.

He had reportedly agreed terms with Dortmund months ago.

His contract with Bremen was due to expire in 2003.

Germany coach Rudi Voeller had told both clubs he hoped the long-running dispute over Frings' services be settled quickly.
