Senegal star insists Liverpool deal is done

Senegal sensation El Hadji Diouf today insisted he will be a Liverpool player next season despite claims by his French club Lens that they have yet to agree a deal.

The striker, who made such an impact in the opening-day victory over France, said he had already signed for Liverpool.

Diouf, speaking following a training session in Korea’s Daegu Stadium, said: ‘‘I agreed a deal with Liverpool before the France match.

‘‘I wouldn’t have minded staying in Lens but personally I want to play for a big club. What I want to say is that I have already signed and you can be sure I will play for Liverpool next season.’’
