Filippo Inzaghi's knee injury is not as bad as first feared, Italian officials said.

He was injured on Sunday during the friendly against Japanese league champions Kashima Antlers.

But a scan showed no torn ligaments. The team will decide over the next few days whether to keep Inzaghi in the squad.

He had an operation on the same knee in December to repair damaged ligaments.

Inzaghi scored the first goal and set up the second on Sunday.
