World Cup holders France are anxiously awaiting the results of a scan on Zinedine Zidane's thigh injury.

World Cup holders France are anxiously awaiting the results of a scan on Zinedine Zidane's thigh injury.

Zidane limped out of France's 3-2 friendly win against Korea yesterday and preliminary tests revealed a small tear in his left thigh.

France coach Roger Lemerre was today making no predictions about Zidane's chances of being fit for the opening World Cup match against Senegal in Seoul on Friday.

"I can't make any forecasts about his injury. The doctor (French team doctor Jean-Marcel Ferret) will say a little bit more about it tomorrow," said Lemerre.
