Keane wants apology

Roy Keane has suggested that his World Cup bust-up with Mick McCarthy was over allegations that he had faked injuries.

In an interview with an English Sunday paper, Keane maintains that he still has huge pride in his country but does not feel sorry about how he reacted.

"But I will never be accused of faking injury and letting down my country, particularly when the accusations are made in front of the rest of the players," he said.

The Manchester United mid-fielder insists that the only way he will return to play for Ireland is if McCarthy is not in charge.

Keane however says that there is only a slight chance of this happening.
