FAI: Keane's remarks were 'unacceptable'

The FAI has said that Roy Keane's remarks that led to his dismissal from the squad were 'unacceptable' to Mick McCarthy and the other players at a press conference this afternoon.

The FAI said in a statement: "Roy's remarks were unacceptable and his remarks to the manager were objectionable."
