McCann out for Black Cats

Sunderland will be without suspended midfielder Gavin McCann for their crucial Barclaycard Premiership clash with relegated Derby tomorrow.

United States international Claudio Reyna returns from suspension but the experienced Stefan Schwarz and youngster Paul Thirwell will battle with Jason McAteer for McCann’s central berth.

Brazilian defender Emerson Thome (knee) and Argentinian midfielder Julio Arca (groin) are both back in training but the game comes too soon for either man.
