Beckham poised to sign new deal

England international David Beckham is reportedly planning to sign a new contract with Manchester United ahead of tonight’s Premiership clash with Arsenal.

The five-year deal is believed to be worth around £95,000-a-week (€150,000) to Beckham.

Talks over the new contract had stalled for more than a year because the player was demanding £20,000-a-week (€32,000) in image rights.
