Ireland's players are to donate their match fees from two World Cup qualifiers to the New York firefighters tonight.

The fees that the Republic of Ireland players gained from their successful two-legged World Cup play-off with Iran, will be presented to the US team, before the international friendly with the United States at Lansdowne Road tonight.

The monies will go toward the New York firefighters fund that supports the families of the firemen that lost their lives in the September 11 terrorist attacks on the Twin Towers.
