Soccer: Carlisle manager sacked
Carlisle United have sacked the team’s manager after comments that he made after yesterday’s
1-0 defeat to Shrewsbury town.
Roddy Collins had said that he would leave the club unless the current owner Michael Knighton sold it to Irish businessman John Courtenay before Wednesday.
When the Cumbrian board of directors heard his remark, they were infuriated. They then decided to sack the United boss.
Carlisle are just six points above second bottom Lincoln in Division Three.
