Champions League: Bayern Munich to release Paulo Sergio

Bayern Munich have decided not to renew the contract of midfielder Paulo Sergio at the end of the season.

Instead they are attempting to sign fellow Brazilian Ze Roberto from Bayer Leverkusen.

Bayern vice-president Karl-Heinz Rummenigge confirmed that Paolo Sergio would be released.
