New Aston Villa manager Graham Taylor has warned he will not tolerate a slide into mid-tale mediocrity.

Villa’s hopes of claiming an automatic UEFA Cup spot are now remote after the 2-1 home defeat by Arsenal on Sunday and they are 10 points adrift of sixth-placed Leeds.
