Soccer: Teddy fears for world cup place

Veteran England striker Teddy Sheringham today admitted his chances of going to this summer’s World Cup finals may be in danger of slipping away.

He acknowledges his ‘‘dip in form’’, which has coincided with Tottenham’s double disappointment in the Worthington Cup final and the FA Cup quarter-finals, has put his hopes in jeopardy - but he vows to battle on, nonetheless.
