David Beckham could be a Champions League doubt for Manchester United after suffering a double ankle injury in England's 1-1 draw with Holland.

Beckham had previously been rated doubtful with an ankle problem sustained in United's Premiership victory at Charlton on Sunday.

He was passed fit to face the Dutch but could now be struggling to be ready when United go back into European action against Nantes next Wednesday.

Beckham said: "I got a kick on the same ankle that I had got a kick on the other day - but I also got a heavier kick on the other side.

"I will just have to see how it is in the morning, but it certainly feels bad at the moment. I'll have to go into the club in the morning and see what they say.

"At this moment I don't know the extent of the damage. But it is really swollen, so I'll just have to wait and see."
