Muzzy Izzet looks set to join Middlesbrough after the Teessiders tabled a £6m (€9.7m) bid for the Leicester City midfielder yesterday.

Boro manager Steve McClaren has been trying desperately to reshape his squad in recent weeks in a bid to drag the club out of relegation trouble, and 27-year-old Izzet has been at the top of his shopping list.
