FA Cup: Inquiry to be held into riots

An inquiry is expected to begin into the violence that marred Cardiff City’s FA Cup win over Leeds.

Riot police armed with batons were drafted in to control fans that surged onto the pitch.

The second division club won the game two goals to one.

Leeds striker Alan Smith was sent off in the second half for apparently elbowing Andy Legg.

Disappointed boss David O’ Leary thinks Smith "has a reputation among referees".
