Premiership: O’Neill ends talk of Old Trafford switch

Celtic manager Martin O’Neill has pleaded for all the speculation linking him with Manchester United to be laid to rest so he can concentrate on his side’s historic pursuit of the Treble Double.

The Irishman categorically denied that he wanted to replace Alex Ferguson in the Old Trafford hot-seat in the summer, despite saying that he would not ‘‘dread’’ an approach from them.
