Premiership: Gregory stands by comments
John Gregory has stood by the comments he made to referee's assistant Ray Gould during the game with Liverpool which led to him being dismissed from the dug-out.
And the Aston Villa chief has sent a video to the FA of the incidents in the game which he hopes will back up his claims and help clear his name.
Gregory was particularly incensed with the awarding of a penalty against George Boateng - given by referee Andy D'Urso after Gould had flagged - and claimed Michael Owen was offside for Jari Litmanen's opening goal.
Gregory said: "I've just sent in my report (to the FA) in which I basically admitted that I did say one or two things - but I still believe what I said was right.
"I still believe that the linesman made incorrect decisions and I felt I had to say it and I stand by it.
"I've sent back video evidence (to the FA) with one or two incidents that I have highlighted.
"Without question, I do hope that someone will look at it and take it seriously.
"For one thing Michael Owen was offside for the Jari Litmanen goal and for the life of me I can't understand why the linesman overlooked a blatant offside decision.
"I was angry that the linesman overlooked that and one or two other incidents. That was the reason I questioned him."
