Premiership: Blackburn need Cole registered in a hurry
Blackburn hope to have Andy Cole's registration completed in time for him to make his debut against Tottenham at White Hart Lane.
And on the evidence of their 1-0 home defeat to Derby, they urgently need to push the paperwork through.
Cole's signing for an estimated £7.5m on the day of the game at least deflected attention from his new side's desperate form on the pitch.
The former Manchester United striker outlined his desire to help lift Rovers back up the Premiership.
Cole said: "I never got a chance to play with Gillespie at Manchester United because he went the other way. There's Duff on the left wing and Matt Jansen, and they have all got qualities.
"The lads dominated against Derby and should have won the game. They created chances and it's exciting times ahead for me seeing all those chances."
