Premiership: Owen: I'm not finished yet
Michael Owen stressed his hunger to achieve further success for club and country as he picked up the prestigious European Player of the Year Award in Paris.
Owen has enjoyed a remarkable past 12 months, helping Liverpool to a memorable Treble before then adding two further trophies with the Charity Shield and Super Cup.
He also helped England to the 2002 World Cup, hitting an unforgettable hat-trick in the 5-1 win over Germany in Munich along the way.
"We have had a great year at Liverpool in winning five trophies and I'm very happy to have won this award as well," said Owen.
"Some fantastic names past and hopefully in the future are going to win this award. I am very happy and delighted to join that list.
"It's the highest privilege I can win as a player and I am over the moon to win it.
"I would like to thank the team and all the staff, everyone who is involved with Liverpool. It's their award too.
"Hopefully it will go on display with another five trophies."
