Premiership: Westerveld to hold talks with Real Sociedad

Liverpool have agreed a fee with Spanish club Real Sociedad for out-of-favour Dutch goalkeeper Sander Westerveld.

The 27-year-old is surplus to requirements at Anfield following the signing of Jerzy Dudek and Chris

Kirkland earlier this year.

Liverpool assistant manager Phil Thompson confirmed today that a fee has been agreed and that Westerveld has been given permission to enter contract negotiations with Sociedad.
