The FA have cleared Tottenham of any blame for the actions of their supporters in last month's game against Arsenal.

Sol Campbell was abused throughout the game on his return to White Hart Lane, and the Arsenal coach was later pelted with bottled and cans.

The FA trawled through reports from the police and referee Jeff Winter before deciding whether to charge Tottenham for their fans' behaviour.

But, although they are still investigating the incidents, a statement confirmed the club are in the clear.

It read: "Following recent discussions with Tottenham Hotspur Football Club, we are satisfied that the club has taken all steps possible to eradicate possible crowd disturbances.

"Further discussions will take place and the situation will continue to be monitored."

The match finished 1-1, with Gustavo Poyet's last-minute equaliser cancelling out Robert Pires' goal for the Gunners.
