Former Irish international John Aldridge will hold talks with Bohemians officials later today to discuss the possibility of taking over as manager from Pete Mahon, who resigned earlier this week.

Mahon stood down because of the abuse he and his family were receiving from some of the Bohs fans.

Ronnie Whelan, another former Irish international, has said he is not interested in the vacant post at Dalymount Park.

Other names in the hat are Longford’s Stephen Kenny, Sligo’s Dan O’Riordan and Paul Power, who resigned as Waterford United manager yesterday.
