Soccer: England miss out as Fifa confirms eight World Cup seeds

Fifa have confirmed that the eight seeded countries would be hosts Japan and South Korea, France, Brazil, Argentina, Germany, Italy and Spain.

Spain have claimed the final place ahead of England or Portugal.

The Republic of Ireland will be drawn against one of the top seeds when the groups are decided on Saturday morning.
