Middlesbrough defender Ugo Ehiogu is tipping team-mate Gareth Southgate to make a serious bid for a ticket to the World Cup Finals.

Southgate played the full 90 minutes in England’s 1-1 draw with Sweden at Old Trafford on Saturday alongside man-of-the-moment Rio Ferdinand at the heart of Sven-Goran Eriksson’s rearguard.
