Premiership: Cole out for Arsenal

Ashley Cole has failed to recover from a hamstring injury and misses Arsenal’s Premiership clash at Sunderland tomorrow.

Manager Arsene Wenger has also omitted Gilles Grimandi from the squad of players who were on duty for Wednesday night’s Champions League victory over Real Mallorca at Highbury.

The four senior players who are still missing with longer term injuries are skipper Tony Adams, goalkeeper David Seaman, defender Lee Dixon and striker Francis Jeffers.
