Premiership: Southampton sack Gray as manager

Southampton have terminated the contract of their manager, Stuart Gray.

Chairman, Rupert Lowe confirmed the sacking along with first team coach, Mick Wadsworth.

Lowe also confirmed that the club is in discussion with former Coventry boss, Gordon Strachan and "hope to have his appointment confirmed in time for him to take training on Monday morning".
