Kelvin Flanagan set them on their way with the lead goal after 30 minutes.

Noel Hartigan's cross was helped on by Ollie Cahill and Flanagan shot home

from the edge of the area.

Colin Patrick O'Brien added the second goal nine minutes into the second-half.

Alan Bennett punished a defensive error to set up O'Brien who scored from close range.

Town made a fight of it with Stuart Holt getting them back into the game with a 74th minute penalty after Eric Lavine was pulled down by Michael Devine, but Cork held on for a valuable win.
