Eircom League: St Pat’s win backing for appeal

Ireland’s Premier League clubs have given their backing to St Patrick’s Athletics' challenge to disciplinary action handed down after the Inchicore club fielded an ineligible player, Paul Marney.

The clubs voted by 10 to nine in favour of St Pats’ appeal against the deduction of nine points from the league tally.
