World Cup: FAI make contact with FIFA

The FAI have made initial contact with FIFA over next month's World Cup play-off match.

The FAI have made initial contact with FIFA over next month's World Cup play-off match.

After finishing second to Portugal in Group 2, the Republic of Ireland are due to play a two legged game against an Asian qualifier.

The two games are pencilled in for November 10 and 15.

Further discussions are planned for this Thursday.
